Our purpose: Restoring hope for those living with MS

An MS diagnosis can shatter hope, leaving many feeling lost and overwhelmed. We are here to change that narrative: a happy and fulfilling life with MS is possible through a healthy lifestyle and a supportive community.

While there is currently no cure for MS, there are a lot of evidence-based ways to slow disease progression and reduce symptoms through lifestyle choices and optimising medication. Overcoming MS empowers you to regain control and ‘overcome MS’ in your own way.

Members of our community have significantly improved their symptoms, quality of life, flexibility, and strength, while also reducing the risk of injury. They improve mental health, manage stress, and find strength and motivation from a supportive global community – knowing you’re not alone on this journey can be incredibly powerful.

Life might not look how you imagined, but a vibrant and positive life with MS is achievable. We invite you to join us and overcome MS in your own way. Visit our page for people new to the Program to get started.

I feel I was very lucky to find Overcoming MS. You really can live your life how you want to live it, not how MS dictates it.

My life with MS isn’t perfect but it’s hugely better than I ever thought it might be. Members of the Hampshire Circle and the wider Overcoming MS community are terrifically supportive, to me and to each other.

People living with MS can do an awful lot to improve their physical and mental health by modifying relatively simple things in their lifestyle. MS is not a death sentence. I certainly, a decade later, live a very full, happy, healthy life with my MS.

Medical Advisor and Facilitator
I cannot begin to express just how powerful the hope that the charity gives is. I realised, you can manage this condition, you can do things to help yourself.
