Alexandra Blossom was one of the facilitators at the AMEX 2017: 7 Steps to Overcoming MS Event that took place in Brighton on the 22nd of October 2017.
Alex works as a lawyer doing night shifts but also teaches relaxation and brain training in all sorts of settings. She has a mindfulness diploma from Smart Foundation and is a member of CTHA. She is a coach for individuals and groups within schools and businesses.
Alex was diagnosed with MS after her son Noah was born, so she makes keeping herself well her priority, and has followed the OMS Recovery Program since her diagnosis in 2012 – she has had no new disease activity.
Meditating every day makes everything else in her life happen, and keeps her happy and positive.
Eating well is really important to her and she follows a whole food, plant-based diet to overcome MS. She believes that having the dedication to stick to the diet really is down to mindfulness.
Alex presented one session at the AMEX 2017 Event:
Session B – Option 3 – Meditation
If you have never meditated before, and being mindful is a complete mystery, then Alex’s practical session was the perfect starting point for you. When meditation is a new concept it can seem daunting, but Alex taught you how to normalize your practice and experience some amazing benefits.
