Events & Facilities Manager


Karen joined the OMS team at its conception as a volunteer after returning to the UK, having lived in New Zealand for 9 years. She now works full time as a Manager of the Events & Facilities Department.

Karen is a born organizer and ran her own catering company before becoming a stay-at-home mum to her two amazing children.

After an 8-year period of poor health, she was finally diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. Research led Karen to the OMS Recovery Program and a plant-based vegan diet which quickly changed her life around for the better, and she has never looked back.

Karen always had an interest in diet and nutrition from a very young age and it continues to this day. You will always find Karen in the kitchen preparing healthy plant-based vegan dishes for friends and family. Recently, she has taken on an allotment where she hopes to grow organic produce whilst enjoying the outdoors.

Karen’s other interests are walking in nature with her beloved dog Scruffy, weight training, Feng-shui, reading and spending time with her family.
