Hello all,

I like a lot of pages on FaceBook to do with MS so I can find new stories for Trisha.

I had one sent to me today about the possibility of a product called MitoQ helping MS sufferers. I have attached the link to one of many articles about the story.

Just thought I would share it with you all. Hopefully it is good news for the future.

Having a read and seeing what that it is an antioxidant and apparently which is identical to the active antioxidant in Coenzyme Q10 I will carry on eating a whole food mainly plant based diet and pack in the foods rich in the natural antioxidant material, and see what they might develop/synthesise in the future.
Perhaps why this OMS approach is so powerful we are ahead here in making the best of the food we eat.
Hi George and Wendy.

What's your view on this?

Yes this study was also mentioned in this months New Pathways. Interesting.
Professor Jelineks view on anti-oxidants has not changed - we are far better to get these nutrients in their potent natural state from a plant based whole foods diet, and that many supplements are in fact risky.

He also says of many early studies such as this one "One of many pieces of research confirming that what works (or doesn't work) in mice may or may not in humans."
