An ongoing study into the use of Tysabri in MS patients has revealed that the dosage interval could be doubled from every 4 weeks to every 8.

Importantly Mike with apparently dramatically reduced risk of the often fatal side effect Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML). Great news!
Interesting - I think many doc's had already figured this out....when I was considering Tysabri a few years ago my Neuro said with JVC+ people - like myself - they generally dosed every 6-7 weeks instead of 4 and found no difference in efficacy... good to see this is being proven out more formally.
We seem to be rapidly approaching the 18-month mark discussed in the article.

Has anyone seen a follow-up or heard anything further?

Thanks!
Yes, I concur with spodaddyo; are there any recent, notable papers on this?

I recently attended the OMS retreat at The Gawler Foundation in Australia and during one of our sessions we discussed Tysabri and the topic of taking every 8 weeks dosage compared to every 4 weeks. We were informed that this was a topic covered at ECTRIMS 2016 http://www.ectrims-congress.eu/2016.html. However I can't seem to find any information on there. Can anyone help with this?

I would like to present papers/evidence to my neuro to discuss the possibility of me going from every 4 weeks to every 8 weeks Tysabri dosage.

Another fellow MSer who attended the same retreat, would also like to receive further info on this matter.

Many thanks
This sounds like something thought up by the Tysabri people not to lose anymore customers.
