Hi all,

I was wondering whether any of you guys in the UK have an MS nurse or dietitian that understands the benefits of OMS.

Having some disagreements with my mother (who doesn't have much mental capacity)'s MS nurse and dietitian that think we are neglectful to insist on mum eating OMS (as she has lost some weight and they want to fatten her up).

it would be really helpful if I could perhaps put them in touch with another professional that understands it more and can offer them some assurances?

Thanks,
Lucy
Have you seen the part of this website (not forum) titled 'for professionals' there is an email address to use on that page too.

How is your Mum's choking has the situation remained positive since reinstating dietry influence.
There is an MS nurse in the UK, Miranda olding, who I believe may have done some talks for OMS in the past.

If you put her name into the forums search you get a few results as well.

Hope this helps

Hi again Veg :)

I actually found that section just after I wrote the post - I've dropped them a note too as there is a specific email :)

Yes her choking has stopped since we went back to OMS! Thankfully! But now they are putting pressure (phoning weekly!) on my dad to feed her these dairy drinks that they have sent to the house to try and "fatten" her up. I'm currently working in New York so it's really hard for me to speak to them. I know they mean well, but they obviously don't understand and I want to help them understand.

Thanks so much again for your help xx

I hope you are doing OK?
