1/2 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup plain flour
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup dried dates, chopped finely
1 Tb golden syrup
1 Tb water
1 Tb extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. bi-carb soda (baking soda)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees C (fan-forced),/ 180 deg C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Lightly spray with extra virgin olive oil spray
2. Combine oats, flour and nuts in a bowl
3. Combine dates, water, oil, golden syrup in a bowl and microwave approx. 30 seconds. Whisk in baking soda until well combined (it may foam a little)
4. Add syrup mixture to dry ingredients and mix well with a spoon
5. With wet hands (wet under tap and shake off excess drips) roll into balls and place on the try. Flatten into rounds.
6. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden. Cool on tray.
Makes about 12
REcipe looks really good & I intend to make it, just need to buy dates. Question is are the measurements Australian or American please?

Thanks for the feedback! Measures are aus. Glad u liked them too....
The nice thing about cup measuring is it is all relative sizing within the recipe.
