My sister is a holistic nutritionist and she up with a sweet treat for me. They are really yummy!

2 cups whole walnuts
2 1/2 cups pitted dates
1 cup raw cocoa
1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Blend walnuts in food processor until they are finely ground
Add the cocoa and salt until they combine
Add the dates one or two at a time
In the end it should look like cake crumbs but when you press together they stick together
Pour the mixture into a Pyrex glass dish or brownie pan
Press the mixture firmly into the pan
Place the dish in the refrigerator/ freezer until they are easy to cut

sometimes I add mint extract or vanilla extract to switch it up...

when I feel like being extra decadent I will crumble them on nut gelato =)
I loved them. Actually I just had two balls as I'm sitting here writing this. I rolled mine into truffle size balls. They live in the freezer. My husband likes them too. We tried adding cinnamon powder to a few, and they were good. I reckon you could add sunflower/ pepita seeds too. Maybe a bit high in sat. fat though, what do you think. Anyway these will be one of my staples, fixes my chocolate cravings. Thanks :D
