Been trying to find a muesli bar substitute and i think i've finally found one that is so easy and yum to make - i love this recipe (i have changed it slightly to be more OMS friendly as it had coconut and carob in it)

2 cups rolled oats
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup peanut butter (suitable or homemade)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup dates (softened)
1 cup raisins
1 Tsp cacao (or cocoa)
2 Tsp honey
1/2 cup water

Mix rolled oats, sunflower seeds, and raisins in a bowl.
Blend the other ingredients together and then add to ingredients in the bowl.
Mix together and place in container and refrigerate.

Hi Lyn. Sounds delicious! but I think we aren't allowed peanut butter. Wendy our Moderator could confirm this?
Peanuts, need to watch how many as very high in fat.
Peanut butter was discussed in this thread, including a comment from George.

Look out for peanut butter that only contains peanuts and maybe salt, and then only in moderation.
Lyn,

Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I made it a few days ago and love it! I did use almond butter (dry roasted almonds + sea salt) instead of the peanut butter.

The cocoa was a wonderful addition.

Thanks again!
