Does anyone have a recipe for a biscuit base? Preferably quite crunchy and chocolate flavoured (well with cocoa added at least).
Thankyou in advance

Try the pastry for Kerryn's Berry Tart, replacing some of the flour with cocoa. You may need to double the recipe as it makes quite a thin pastry shell.

Thanks Wendy, but I was after a sweet biscuit rather than a pastry....thank you anyway.

Hi I use msr's anzac recipe all the time and usually add nuts and a bit more oil and golden syrup.
I am sure it would make a great base, the only thing I would suggest is press it into the tin bake it, let it cool and then bake it a little more. I find the double baking takes out the last of the moisture which tends to make them soft when stored.

There is no reason why you can't add coco to it to make it chocolate.
