This is a variation of the Gawler Retreat date balls but with a little mint. I love choc mint combo and was missing them on this diet.

1 3/4 cups raw almonds
2 cups dates
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cap of peppermint essence
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Blend in a strong blender until crumbly.

Shape into balls in your ball then refrigerate.

You could also swap coconut essence instead if peppermint if you are craving coconut.

I've just made some of these, it's the first recipe I've made from here, very tasty and it made about 30 balls
