Hi all,

Is anyone interested to attend the Ballarat Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis Walk 2015?

It's a fundraiser for OMS, a 6 kilometre walk or ride around Lake Wendouree in Ballarat.

Here's the Facebook link to the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/5330749 ... r=upcoming .

You can email the organiser, Elizabeth, at this address: overcomingmsballarat@yahoo.com.au

GEORGE JELINEK IS GOING!

Me too.
Cheers,

Sue

And perhaps a picnic OMS-style afterward?

We will be camping somewhere, but there are plenty of 'brick tents' available in Ballarat!

8-) Wow what a great event. Thanks to Liz and her family and friends for organising the event. It was great to see you there Sue and all the other OMSers we met. Thanks to family and friends who supported us too. Great to have a chat to George and raise some funds for more research. Look out for it next year so it can grow and grow.

Cheers :D

I really enjoyed this event, too, Andie!

Glorious weather, beautiful Lake Wendouree and lovely Ballarat locals, and good to see so many OMSer's being well.

Definitely going next year.
Cheers,

Sue

Thanks sue for posting! Thanks to everyone who came. It was a wonderful day, went so quickly. Wished I could have talked to you all!!!! And gotten a few pictures!! Totally forgot about that!! Pleased to say including online donations we raised close to $7,500- for OMS, so that's awesome! Anyone wanting to help out or offer suggestions for next year then please get in touch with me, I'd appreciate any help, because as you can imagine it does require a fair bit of planning!!
Hi Liz,

I didn't have the presence of mind to take a pic of George to show everyone how good he's looking. Looking great not just for a bloke with MS but for a bloke in general. He could compete with a 40 year old and win on the looking good stakes!

Did get some pics of the crowd, though, and I'm sure you have seen them on Facebook. For those who are readng, this is the link to the Facebook page for Overcoming MS Ballarat: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ballarat ... 88?fref=ts

Liz, I thought it would have been nice to have some T-shirts available for sale at cost with a small mark-up to contribute a donation to OMS research. I'd love to engage in a conversation about how this should be achieved and to take on the responsibility of organising it for next year. PM me here or via Facebook.

Thanks again, so very very much, for organising this event. I really enjoyed it, and so did my friends (who don't have MS). Ballarat rocks!

Cheers,

Sue
