Hello everyone,

I have not officially been diagnosed with MS but I am struggling to believe I am not at risk of developing it either. My story: buzzing and tingling sensations in various locations of my feet and well, upper thigh for three weeks non stop 24/7. I have had the odd occasional tingle in my fingers and knees too. No numbness, fatigue or loss of strength. I have been to see a neurologist who has given me a head and full spinal MRI (without contrast) and I currently have no obvious lesions. My neurological examination was completely normal. So do I have it - I do not know however, irrespective of this I have started to follow the OMS diet in hope it will prevent me from ever officially being diagnosed (besides, it is super good for you). Being a clinical scientist myself, I am a STRONG believer in functional medicine. We were never born with these conditions (minus rare congenital illnesses) so evidently environment plays a significant role, i.e. epigenetics.

So, my VitD3 is 100 nmol/l however I was significantly deficient a few years ago (18nmol/l) and having read the OMS book, I have ranked my daily amount from 5000iu to 10000iu to get it up to 150nmol/l. My red cell Magnesium is in range but on the lower end so I am using transdermal Mg lotion - has anyone had any benefits with this?
My diet was never really an issue as I am a bit of a health freak as it is but chicken has gone as has dairy and egg yolks. I have even started to make my own cereal. :)
Meditation: I was rubbish as this. Stress is my weak factor but I bought Muse and wow, it's amazing. I highly recommend if anyone is having difficulty meditating! Gym too - I run and do strength training nearly every day.

Questions: As I have to give up turkey and Xmas pudding this Xmas, does anyone have any OMS Xmas friendly recipes?
And where can I buy a nice 75% cocoa drink in the UK?
Does anyone know where I can buy dried fruit which is not smothered in sunflower oil???

Thanks a lot!!

Hi Jenny,

Great to hear that you have found OMS! I really hope you start seeing some results from following the program.
OMS have recently published some Christmas recipes, alongside some Thanksgiving recipes last month which may be helpful.
Take a look: ... ay-cooking

Wishing you a very happy Christmas! :)

I am making my 3rd one for this year, I cook the mixture in a 9 inch silicon tray and make 16 pieces that freeze. I choose to use no oil in the mix it bakes like a christmas pudding cake. for me
