1) In the book it states we can have sherbet instead of Ice cream and instead of sugar we can have honey.. in both of these food choices there is a high amount of sugar, does that matter? Should we be counting our sugar and if so what do you keep it at? Do you look at sugar content before you eat something? One person following this diet told me that honey was bad and not allowed, that confuses me since it is listed as a alternative in the book???
2) I'm new to this diet and I'm trying to get this oil supplement correct... should I be only having Flaxseed oil as a supplement and stop my fish oil supplements? I eat a lot of fish but other than salmon I do not eat oily fish, I haven't started flaxseed oil yet but plan to buy it this week, how much a day should I take and if I eat fish that day do I still take the flaxseed oil?

I keep it nice and simple and try to eat whole foods wherever possible, and avoid processed foods. This means I tend to eat raw sugar and honey in reasonable amounts. By avoiding processed foods which are high in sugar, salt and fat, my intake is moderate and within the OMS guidelines.

Omega-3 fatty acid supplements: Start the diet by taking 20g (20mls or 20 caps) a day of standard strength fish oil & some flaxseed oil on your food, gradually replace the fish oil with flaxseed oil over 9 months. On days when oily fish is eaten, omit fish oil supplement. After 9 months you should be taking 20-40mls of flaxseed oil every day
