Hi

Very interested to hear of new research that does not endorse coconut oil. It found that it has the same saturated fat as beef dripping and you might as well be using lard as it.
Thought you all might be interested.

Yes I had seen the thread. I saw it being discussed on tv this morning and found it interesting as a doctor was discussing it. That is why I thought I would mention it.

Dr. Michael Greger today put a new video on his website nutritionfacts.org which deals with coconut fat and dismantles the myth of healthy MCTs (medium chain fatty acids, but nonetheless saturated fatty acids) or the benefit of high HDL cholesterol, see https://nutritionfacts.org/video/coconu ... olesterol/ .
