Hi community,

I'm reaching out to any cis-women out there who are in their 20s/30s/40s, who have tried a fasting diet and got hot flashes from it or menopausal symptoms. I was doing a 18:6 several days a week with one 24 hour fast and began getting hot flashes at night - soaking the bed hot flashes. I'm 38 so HOPEFULLY 10 more years until I'm due for menopause!

Has anyone had this experience as well? There is some research out there that intermittent fasting for pre-menopausal women is not the best...

I don’t know the answer to this but am also struggling against changes brought by menopause so hope others can input, as I am hoping this diet will make the difference! Just saying hi to register interest in question and bump it up to the top again. Good luck
Intermittent fasting has numerous health benefits, but it is also linked to hormone disruption in women. A disruption in one hormone system in the body can trigger other hormone imbalances. That's why a woman feel hot flashes while on menopause.
Actually, weight loss during menopause is a little bit different then when usual, because menopause itself provoke weight gain, despite exercising and eating right. Also, to lose weight it is important to follow a specific diet special for that period. My mom, for example, is following suggestions to stop weight gain during menopause.
