Sorry if this has been posted before, but I only just learned of this recently. QLD neuroscientist Michael Pender has tested his theory that B cells are infected by EBV and cause the CNS damage in MS. He has developed a method to 'train' T Cells to kill the infected B cells with remarkable outcomes for a wheelchair bound patient with SPMS. The procedure now needs to be tested across all types of MS, and is incredibly promising for people with RRMS, but also a ray of hope for people with the progressive form of the disease. There is a link on this website to a radio interview with prof Pender.
