I have came across a book called "Reversing Mutliple Sclerosis" in which the auther lays out nine steps she believes reversed her case of MS. Of these nine, she believes taking Sphingolin is the most important. It comes from the spinal myelin cells of New Zealand steers, NZ is important because they have never had a confirmed case of Mad Cow disease.

She believes it works for two reasons:
1 - provides an alternative myelin source for your immune system to attack
2 - excess myelin "will naturally find its way to your myelin cells ... helps to strenghten the existing human myelin."

Have any of you come across this product or seen any reports on it? Does her logic make any sense to you? The author is a doctor, although not a neurologist, so I'm giving her some lattitude.

I would think that this steer myelin would be destroyed in our digestive system and not accomplish what she claims but she swears by it and claims it works. Any thoughts?
