I'm considering starting the generic version of Copaxone, but my sister took Avonex for 10 years with great results. Her MRI, after 10 years of being on the drug, showed that her lesions had all healed over. Her neurologist took her off of Avonex and she hasn't had any MS symptoms since, which was a few years ago now. I know Professor Jelinek does not recommend the interferons as his first choice, but I'm wondering if I should consider Avonex since my sister's DNA is similar to mine. Any thoughts anyone? Also, is generic Copaxone as good as the actual Copaxone?
