I keep reading about these megadoses to get your vitamin D levels up quickly. I know however that if you take high doses of vitamin C, what your body can't use immediately is excreted. Is vitamin D different? Is it stored in the body somewhere and released slowly, as needed?
Yep, vit D is not the same as vit C where the excess gets excreted. It is stored in the body's fatty tissue and then converted.
