Happy new year ladies and gents,
I am very excited and a little scared to report that tomorrow morning I will roll down my driveway on a 16klm bike ride to work. This is the start of my training to complete a 50klm ride in Melbourne in March to raise money for the MS society.
I will definitely take it easy and plan to do the ride once this week, then twice next week, then three times the following week. Then I will try to complete a return journey on the same day and build up.
The research showing that the OMS program will work is overwhelming so now I am taking this belief to the next level and gambling that after 6 months on the diet I will be well enough to complete the challenge.
I did question this decision recently as over Christmas for 2 solid weeks while away on holiday I limped and was badly fatigued. But I have been walking well again since last Thursday and am feeling ok so fingers crossed.
