Hi all

This post is for all the newly diagnosed who might be adjusting to their new way lifestyle! I thought I would post some of the good vegan sites I have across and I invite others to share theirs as well!

I just came across this site which has loads of really nice recipes, some unsuitable so would need to omit the coconut others are spot on.


My sister in law just bought me 'Plenty' my ottolenghi. He is like the Jamie of the vegan world. Some very nice recipes. Not plain at all. Check out his website.

And here is a recipe of a go to treat I have eaten for years which is OMS friendly depending on the type of nut butter you use. Reference is the wonderful Dr Cabot from LCD which Jelinek said on podcast is very aligned with OMS (her second book less so though)

1 cup nut paste
3 cups rice bubbles
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup raw sug
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup currants
1tsp vanilla essence

Combine paste, honey and sugar in saucepan. Stir over low heat until mixture is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and mix everything until well Coated.

Press firmly into grease proof paper lined tin 28cm x 18cm.
Fridge for 1 hour. Cut into thin small fingers.

Nut butters if used shouldn't be roasted nuts unless you do it yourself really.
What are rice bubbles please?
I like some of jeff novicks recipes and they are pretty much always oms friendly.
