I don't know if anyone has posted this already, but for those of us who miss crisps/chips, they are incredibly easy to make:

1) Slice a potato or two into reasonably thin slices
2) Lay them on a microwave-safe sheet (I find the easiest is a silicone sheet designed for microwaves)
3) Depending on your microwave, cook for 10 minutes at first, and then add a minute at a time, watching to see that they are just lightly browned, but not too much. They should look the colour of normal crisps. You can take out the ones that look ready and continue to cook the others a bit longer.

That's it! No need for oil. You can add salt if preferred. I like to dip them in malt vinegar while eating and have found that I don't even need salt if I do this.
