Flaxseed oil can be used to make a vinaigrette which I find delicious: Add to a couple of teaspoons of flaxseed oil a splash of apple cider vinegar (or any other vinegar or acidic addition like lemon or lime juice). Add a dab of honey and a dab of dijon mustard. If you wish a sprinkle of sea salt and/or pepper. It makes a slightly sweet, slightly tart topping for salads or something to moisten other dishes. (I am sorry I could not be more precise with the measurements but I kind of put it together by sight and then adjust for the taste.)

I use Barlean's flaxseed oil which I buy at Whole Foods (U.S.). I find it has a nutty taste which is quite pleasant. But of course everyone's palate is different. (I still don't like sushi!)
