**Due to a high volume of responses we are unfortunately now fully booked**
Here at Overcoming MS we are always looking to help people live full and healthy lives with MS. We want everyone to have the opportunity to find out more about the Overcoming MS Program, whatever their circumstances. So we have created a new short course to help people get to grips with the program.
About the Pathway to Overcoming MS course
We are running a free six-week course to bring the Overcoming MS Program to life, giving you all the information you need to make positive changes.
The sessions will be led by a panel of specialist facilitators who will gently guide you through each week covering the key areas of diet, vitamin D, exercise, meditation, family prevention and meditation. You will learn alongside other like-minded individuals living with MS, led by our panel of experts Dr Jonathan, Dr Rachael Hunter, Dr Phil Startin, Sam Josephs and Dr Veronique Gauthier-Simmons.
The sixth session is a chance to feed back on your experiences and discuss potential next steps, including our Circles network, ongoing peer support and a chance to let us know how you found the course.
Liz Waters, Community Engagement Programme Manager said: “This short course is a great opportunity for anyone with MS who is keen to understand more about how the Overcoming MS Program can help them.”
Dr Jonathan White, Medical Advisor & Event Facilitator said: “This is not yet another webinar, but rather a highly interactive, small group experience, designed for you to get the very most from each session, surrounded by people in a similar situation, and with a shared goal to live a healthy and happy life with MS.”
You will have the opportunity to ask those questions that you were too scared to ask your MS team, or perhaps never had the time to answer.
Testimonials from the first Pathway course
“Friendly, informative, a safe space to ask ‘those’ questions! ”
“Since still being early in diagnosis, anxiety takes over many days. The course, the contact and especially seeing other people trying their best and doing well gives me enormous hope and strength. Thank you for this opportunity to reach out and get in touch.”
“For me Pathway has allowed me to refine my understanding of Overcoming MS [and] given me lots of tips and ideas. Because of the Pathway I’ve now put in a daily practice a 5 min meditation in my day. I really liked being able to meet and see different people living with MS this has been so key for me as I’m yet to meet anyone with MS. It really helped mental health and my positivity outlook on my diagnosis. Thank you all very much.”
