MS Australia has published guidelines for vitamin D supplementation for people with multiple sclerosis developed by the respected Menzies Research Institute.

In line with what has been promulgated on this website for some time, they note that it requires about 4,000 IU of vitamin D a day to reach a level of 100 nmol/L, and that if levels are low, a single dose of 500,000 IU can be taken.

It is enormously gratifying to see MS Australia take the lead in offering sensible recommendations around vitamin D in line with currently available research.
