It was a very enjoyable meeting catching up with Dr Brett Drummond, the driving force behind MStranslate, a website dedicated to building bridges between people with MS and those who research the disease.

Brett himself did his PhD at the University of Melbourne into biochemical and molecular biology aspects of MS. With his brother Eric and other people volunteering their time, Brett established MStranslate, with the aim of providing complex research evidence about MS in an accessible, easy to understand way to people with MS.

The Drummond brothers are aware that conversation is helpful in disseminating such information, aiming to get a dialogue going around new research and treatments in the area, in a way that is personal, responsive and supportive.

OMS hopes to engage more with MStranslate, given that we have the same goals of getting the information that people with MS need into the hands of those who ultimately have the real responsibility for their health: the people themselves.
