We were barely a week in to the new year when the fundraising for 2016 started rolling in! Huge thanks to Geraldine and her friends in Nottingham who kick-started our year with a French Day, which included French baking and a bric-a-brac sale, to raise money and awareness for OMS which, Geraldine says, has offered her strength during the low points of her own MS. Merci beaucoup à tous!

A man who should be staying well clear of cakes (but probably isn’t) and concentrating on training is the tremendous Ted Jackson, who is returning to the desert once again to run the Marathon Des Sables. The difference this time is that his eldest son Oscar will be doing it with him. Clearly a chip off the old Jackson block! Ted describes the event as the ‘first’ challenge of this year. Watch this space to see what else he might be planning - and whether he can convince Oscar to join him on whatever it may be…

Finally, happening up and down Britain throughout February, do check the venues on the Leap Year Tour to see if there’s a gig in your area you might be able to make. The concerts are free, with an OMS donation box on the door. It’ll be a great evening, and musicians Thom Worth and Tim Ot, as well as all of us at OMS, would be stoked by your support.
