Today we hosted a fantastic Global Dinner Party at the OMS Head Office in Buckinghamshire, UK to mark World MS Day - take a look at what we cooked!

Today, the 31st of May marks World MS Day - an annual event aimed at providing support for the 2.5 million people around the world who are living with MS. To mark World MS Day, Overcoming MS has encouraged people to host their own Global Dinner Party - a fundraising dinner (or lunch, picnic, bake sale, etc) consisting of OMS-friendly foods.

The Global Dinner Party is a fantastic way to expose others to the OMS Recovery Program diet and to showcase just how fantastic healthy food tastes. At the OMS Head Office in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, we have just had our own team dinner party today and my oh my, was there a lot of food!

To start off, we had vegetable crudités (carrot, cucumber, baby tomatoes and mange tout) with OMS-friendly hummus prepared by Web & Social Media Editor, Laura. For mains we had an OMS all-time favorite - Lentil Chili Con Carne prepared by the Global Dinner Party organizer herself, Emma-Louise!

While we call it Chili Con Carne, it is 100% OMS-friendly in that it doesn't contain any meat so technically, it is Chili Sin Carne (chili without meat). No matter what you call it, this meal is spicy, comforting and absolutely delicious. Click here for the recipe. To go with our Chili, we had some very en vogue polenta chips prepared by OMS Development Manager, Penny.

Penny first tried these delicious fat-free alternatives to regular chips at the Charney Manor Reunion a few weeks ago and was absolutely hooked. We have since had these delicious chips twice in the office and recently added the recipe to our website so you all can enjoy them too!

Now for the sweet stuff! Desserts

We had a very summery fruit salad prepared by CEO Gary accompanied by some oh-so-sweet Chocolate Fudge Balls by Laura and some lovely and light Raspberry and Passion Fruit Muffins prepared by the newest member of the OMS team, Sarah. And now with full tummies and slightly heavy eyelids it is back to work for all of us at the OMS Head Office. Happy World MS Day everyone!
