Skydiving for OMS

Skydiving is one of the most adrenaline-fueled ways to fundraise for Overcoming MS. You and your experienced instructor will fly up 10,000 feet and freefall at up to 130 miles per hour before gently gliding back to earth. Alternatively, you can add an additional day of training and jump solo with two instructors nearby. Ask your friends and family for sponsored donations and collect them before your scheduled jump.

Skyline events works with airfields across the UK to create fun, challenging sports events that change lives. A charity tandem jump is free to you when you fundraise at least £395, about £140 of which will be donated to Overcoming MS. To schedule your jump click on “charity jumps” and look in the category “mental and physical conditions” for Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis.

Skydiving

If you’re outside the UK, talk to your local skydiving operation about charity jump options and create a fundraising page (we recommend Just Giving). It’s worth noting the inherent risk of undertaking a skydive. Before signing up, it’s best to consult your doctor about any preexisting medical conditions that may limit your ability to participate. Minimum age requirements and maximum weight allowances vary by organizer. It’s best to read all the terms and conditions and get your health checked before making a deposit.
