Avocado on Toast

This tasty breakfast option is a filling treat to start your day! Top this classic with fresh rocket, mushrooms or roasted tomatoes (recipe below). Picture kindly sent in by Karen.

Ingredients List

Serves 1
  • 1 avocado ripe
  • 1/2 lemon
  • chilli flakes optional
  • bread 2 slices


  1. Carefully cut the avocado in half and remove the stone.
  2. Scoop out the flesh and place in a bowl.
  3. Squeeze in the lemon juice and mash (with a fork) until it’s your preferred consistency.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and add in chili flakes if using.
  5. Pick your favourite OMS friendly bread and toast as many slices as you want.
  6. Top the toast with your mashed avocado.
  7. Drizzle with flaxseed oil and top with mushrooms, salad leaves or roasted tomatoes.
