Steve Simpson

Steve is an epidemiologist and Research Fellow whose research interest is modifiable lifestyle and other aetiological factors in MS and chronic illness.

Steve lives with his husband, Abel Yap, and their three dogs near Melbourne, Australia. Steve completed undergraduate studies in biology at Hunter College (NYC, USA), a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley (USA), and a PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Tasmania (Australia). He presently operates as database manager for the HOLISM project and is senior epidemiologist & analyst within the Neuroepidemiology Unit. He also collaborates broadly with other investigators, particularly with colleagues at the University of Tasmania using the Ausimmune Longitudinal Study and other projects.

Steve’s interests include baking, spending time with family, playing with the dogs, reading, and gardening.
