Terms of Use - OMS Circles Community

(To be read in conjunction with our community guidelines)

  1. I am aged 16+.   

  1. I am interested in adopting, or am supporting someone to follow, the OMS Recovery Program. 

  1. I have read and agree to the OMS Community Guidelines

  1. I agree not to sell anything using the OMS website, post irrelevant links or promote my business or other endeavors. (Promotions Policy).  

  1. I have read and accept the OMS Privacy Policy. 

  1. I will not mimic anyone else in my account and will not create multiple accounts (please email digital@overcomingms.org if you are having trouble accessing your account).  

  1. I understand health information contained on the OMS website is to help inform discussions, not offer medical advice, and I will consult a healthcare professional if considering changing my medication or treatment. 

  1. I will report abusive or suspicious behavior (by emailing feedback@overcomingms.org

  1. I agree that “Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis” has the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time if it does not meet the guidelines. OMS Circles are not moderated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we are not responsible for posts, however we will remove anything that does not fit with the guidelines. Each post expresses the view of its author, and not the views of OMS.  

  1. I am aware that OMS Circle Ambassadors are volunteers and not employees of OMS 

  1. I acknowledge any of the following behaviors can result in me being banned from OMS Circles:  

  • Swearing at people, attacking others’ beliefs or threatening others 

  • Use of racist, homophobic, sexist, ableist and transphobic language or committing other forms of discrimination such as religious abuse of ageism  

  • Using sexually explicit, obscene or vulgar language 

  • Committing slander  

  • Discussing illegal activities  

  • Asking other for money  

  • Behaving in an abusive or aggressive manner towards other members 

  • Not respecting privacy expectations (details in community guidelines)  

  • Spamming / regularly posting off-topic discussions 

  • Trolling ( antagonize online by deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments or other disruptive content) or bullying
