Balsamic Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients List

 

Serves 1
  • 900 g Brussels sprouts
  • 30 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 30 ml honey
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 390–400°F. 
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or grease proof paper. 
  3. Trim off the outer, dry leaves and cut the bottom off and slice sprouts lengthwise. 
  4. In a large bowl, soak the sprouts in some water for around 30 minutes. 
  5. Drain the sprouts and transfer into your baking tray and cover with salt and pepper. 
  6. Cook for around 20 minutes until the outer leaves start to brown. 
  7. Remove and place the brussels back in a bowl, add the balsamic vinegar and honey and toss to coat evenly. Taste and season with more salt if needed. 
  8. Return to the oven and cook for around another 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven when sprouts look caramelized.
