Changes to these Terms

Overcoming MS provides information and support relating to multiple sclerosis (MS). The information on the Online Platforms is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
The Online Platforms do not provide medical advice and should not be treated as a substitute for advice from your doctor or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional. You should not start, stop or change any treatment, medication, diet, exercise programme or other health-related course of action on the basis of information available through the Online Platforms without first seeking appropriate professional advice.
Although our content may be based on professional advice, published experience, expert opinion and community experience, individual circumstances vary and the information on the Online Platforms may not be suitable for you. As a charity, our primary responsibility is to provide trustworthy, independent information and support to the people we serve.

Any products, brands or services mentioned by our facilitators, staff, volunteers or within our resources are mentioned solely on the basis of personal experience, professional knowledge, independent assessment or feedback from the communities we support.
Where facilitators suggest particular products or brands, those suggestions are made in good faith and reflect what they have found helpful personally or professionally. They are not made as a result of any financial arrangement, partnership or incentive from the manufacturer or supplier unless this is clearly disclosed.

You must not post personal information, images, videos or health information about another person unless you have their permission and it is lawful to do so.

You agree that you will not use the Online Platforms to:

- post photographs, videos or personal information about someone else unless you have their explicit permission and it is lawful to do so;
- post incomplete, false or misleading information, impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organisation, or deliberately start disputes;
- disclose personal information about another person or post private, confidential or sensitive information without authority;
- attempt to communicate with users who have made clear that they do not wish to communicate with you;
- upload, post, email or transmit content that infringes intellectual property rights or other rights of any person;
- upload, post, email or transmit advertising, promotional material, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or other solicitation except where expressly permitted;
- harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information from the Online Platforms for unsolicited communications;
- upload, introduce or transmit viruses, malware, worms, Trojan horses or other harmful code;
- interfere with or disrupt the Online Platforms, servers, networks or security measures;
- use robots, spiders, scraping tools or other automated means to access the Online Platforms without our permission;
- encourage or assist any breach of these Terms or any applicable law; or
- promote or sell vitamins, medications, healthcare products or services, or products or services of any kind unless specifically permitted by us.
Children and young people
If any part of the Online Platforms is made available to children or young people, we will apply appropriate safeguarding, privacy and moderation arrangements. Parents, guardians and carers should consider whether the Online Platforms are suitable for any child or young person in their care.
User interactions
You are responsible for your interactions with other users of the Online Platforms. We are not responsible for disputes, disagreements, advice or information shared between users, including medical, diet, lifestyle or other health-related experiences shared by users.

Licence to user content
When you post, upload or submit content to the Online Platforms, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, display, moderate and make that content available as necessary to operate, provide, protect and improve the Online Platforms.
We will not use your identifiable personal story, image, testimonial or health-related content for fundraising, publicity or promotional purposes without your separate consent.
This licence does not affect your ownership of your content. It also does not apply to personal information except as described in our Privacy Policy.
Links to our website
You may link to our website provided that you do so in a way that is fair, lawful and does not damage our reputation or suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement where none exists.
You must not frame our website or link to it from any unlawful, misleading, offensive or inappropriate content. We may require you to remove a link if we reasonably consider that it breaches this section.

Refunds, cancellations, substitutions and changes to events will be handled in accordance with the applicable event terms, booking terms, donation terms or refund policy. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and specific event, booking or donation terms, the specific terms will apply to the relevant transaction.
Indemnity
You agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses, costs and expenses we suffer as a direct result of your unlawful use of the Online Platforms, your infringement of third-party rights, or your material breach of these Terms.
Waiver and severability

Governing law
