Classes

Function First LIVE with the MSing Link in October 2023

Wednesday 4, 11, 18 and 25 October at 5pm UK time/ 12pm ET

Join Dr Gretchen Hawley and Patricia Hawley in October 2023 for a series of exercise, yoga and meditation sessions.

Week 1 - Exercise with Dr Gretchen (4 October): Dr Gretchen will teach a core-based exercise class while focusing on breathwork that will help you feel energised, yet calm and in control. This will be a seated class.

Week 2 - Yoga with Patricia (11 October): Patricia will teach you how simple yoga poses, breathing, and self-massage can shift your nervous system from fight/flight/freeze to calm and centred. This class may be practised in a chair, seated on the floor, or standing.

Week 3 - Exercise with Dr Gretchen (18 October): Dr Gretchen will teach a stretching-based exercise class focusing on releasing tension in the muscle groups that MS tends to attack the most. You'll leave class feeling calm, cool, and collected and maybe a little sore in all the right places!

Week 4 - Meditation with Patricia (25 October): Patricia will lead a meditation designed to activate your Vagus Nerve through breathing techniques that help ease anxiety and depression. Bonus: it may help you sleep better!

Please note that each session is recorded. Recordings will be available 48 hours after the session in 'The MSing Link recordings' space in the Live Well Hub here.

Ask Aaron - Your Opportunity to speak to a Neurologist about Living Well with MS

Tuesday 3rd October 2023, 7pm UK time

We are delighted to welcome back Dr Aaron Boster. In this extended session with Dr Boster, we are giving you the opportunity to ask him your questions about living well with MS.

Dr Aaron Boster is an award-winning, widely published, and board-certified neurologist specialising in multiple sclerosis and related CNS inflammatory disorders.

As we are unable to cater for all timezones, by registering for this webinar you will automatically be sent a link to the recording of the session.

You can submit your questions ahead of the session to webinars@overcomingms.org by the 30th September 2023. Please note it is important that questions are asked in a generalised fashion as Dr Boster will be unable to answer questions specific to individual diagnosis.
