In July, Overcoming MS held the third UK Pop-Up Circles event in Bristol, UK. The team at Overcoming MS were thrilled to be joined by over 40 community members, including volunteer Ambassadors, Circle members, carers and people wanting to find out more about the Program and Charity.
Sian Southward, Head of Programmes at Overcoming MS, shared her thoughts on the day:
“It was wonderful to be part of our third Pop-Up event in Bristol, meeting the community and hearing their inspiring stories of hope. It was lovely to see Circle members meeting each other for the first time and those wanting to learn more from speaking to other guests and from our inspirational speakers talking about their lived experience of following the Overcoming MS Program.
This is the start of a long awaited return to in-person events for Overcoming MS, and we want to continue to encourage and support our community to seek out opportunities to meet with others following the Program and make those invaluable connections”.
We heard from four brilliant speakers, each with a different perspective:
Kellie Baron, Ambassador of the Cardiff Circle, presented alongside Dr Rachael Hunter as they looked back at the past 11 years of the Overcoming MS Charity.
Feedback from our Pop-Up events has been overwhelmingly positive, with one attendee saying:
“Thank you so much for organising the event! It’s been so useful to listen to people’s personal stories and how much hope Overcoming MS has given people living with MS.”
Circle members came together to meet-up and meet new faces
