Feedback from our first conference of 2025
We’ve recently returned from the MS Trust annual conference. It was refreshing to see so many passionate UK nurses, therapists, and allied healthcare professionals prioritising lifestyle choices in their work. It’s clear that they are eager to signpost to Overcoming MS’s resources, courses, and community support.
We were delighted to have a stand at the conference and to submit a poster showcasing our work. Taking part in the poster “speed-dating” session – where each presenter had just one minute to pitch their key message – and the Q&A session the following day gave us a fantastic opportunity to share the most exciting findings from our recent review of the Pathways course.
Our one-minute presentation focused on a key headline: our education positively changes the way people feel their MS affects their wellbeing, while also increasing their confidence that they have choice and control over their health.
Our stand was a hive of activity, and we were delighted that our printed ‘demonstration’ copies of the new downloadable resource, Real foods for real budgets, were snapped up quickly! It was encouraging to see so much enthusiasm for practical resources that can make a real difference in people’s lives.
The atmosphere at the conference was full of enthusiasm and commitment to holistic care for people with MS. It was inspiring to see healthcare professionals increasingly recognising the importance of lifestyle choices and embracing the resources that Overcoming MS has to offer. We’re excited to keep building on this momentum as we prepare to present at the European Academy for Neurology, where we’ll be sharing insights on how our lifestyle courses support positive brain health.
If you’re a healthcare professional keen to learn more about how lifestyle choices can support people with MS, check out our dedicated pages and get in touch if you’d like to discuss collaborations. We’d love to share our insights and hear your ideas!
If you’re living with MS, our Pathway to Overcoming MS course, which we presented at the conference, offers valuable guidance on taking control of your health and wellbeing. Plus, our free community platform Live Well Hub is a great place to connect with others who understand your journey and get tips and advice on living well with MS.
