Caroline from Germany found OMS in 2012 and just wanted to be with people to speak about her illness.
“I read a review of George Jelinek’s book and that was the first time I heard about OMS. Later when the retreat was advertised I immediately rang to put my name on the list. I just wanted to be with people to speak about my illness and it was so important for me to be able to do that.
“It was an essential part of my life; I have contacts now and I’m networked with people who have the same illness and I don’t feel alone any more − I feel supported. I feel hope, a lot of hope, for the future and I’m not frightened about the future any more. I see a better scenario for myself and I’m convinced that it’s going to be good for me. Our group is unique; it’s so important, it’s a lifeline for people.”
