- 2 medium oranges (navel oranges)
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 pinch ea salt
- 12 medium egg whites
- 4 cups ground almonds
- 1 cup cocoa powder (use best quality)
- 1 tsps cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175° C.
- Steam whole oranges for 30-40 minutes or until soft.
- Allow to cool, then chop them up and place in food processor until smooth.
- Add eggs and process again.
- Pour into bowl.
- Fold in almonds, cocoa and cinnamon.
- Spoon into baking pan lined with baking paper.
- Bake for 50-60 mins.
- Cool completely before removing from tin.
