Tangy Vegetables in Soy Sauce and Honey

A really tasty side dish of green beans, mushrooms and green pepper with sweet and tangy flavour.

Ingredients List

Serves 2
  • 300 g green beans - trimmed
  • 1 g capsicums - green
  • 100 mushrooms
  • 1 garlic cloves
  • thumb fresh root ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • sprinkle sesame seeds
  • 5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mushrooms, green capsicum (pepper) and green beans. 
  2. Heat the pan on medium. Saute the veg in a tiny bit of soy sauce, stock or water until 
  3. Mix ginger and garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey and olive oil together. 
  4. Toss the cooked vegetables in the sauce. 
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the vegetables. 
  6. Eat hot or cold 

 

  • Swap out the honey to make vegan and the soy sauce to make gluten free. 
  • You could also substitute vegetable for those in season or in your fridge. 

Served here with rice and a grilled piece of salmon. You could also eat it with some noodles and tofu.
