Vegan Chocolate Cake

This vegan chocolate cake makes a delicious treat.

Serves 4
  • 1.5 cups wholemeal self-raising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsps vanilla essence
  • 6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.25 tsp salt


  1. Combine ingredients in bowl and stir.
  2. Cook in pre-heated oven at 180° C for 20-25 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
  3. If you wish to ice: combine icing sugar, cocoa (small amount) and boiling water (just enough to make sticky mixture). Then spread over cake.
