- 3 cups almond milk unsweetened, make sure there is no oil in the recipe
- 2 teaspoons cacao / cocoa powder high-flavonoid (70-85%)
- 1 teaspoon liquid sweetener - honey, maple syrup or stevia - you could also use sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

- Gently heat the almond milk in a saucepan or in the microwave.
- Stir a bit of cold milk into 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder per mug until it dissolves into a paste and whichever ingredient you choose to sweeten the drink. This is when you can add cinnamon if you want to.
- Whisk to froth up the almond milk and pour into mug. Stir well.
Add cinnamon or vanilla for extra flavour. You can substitute almond milk for your favourite dairy-free milk.
