Join the worldwide campaign and help us make a difference to people living with MS.

World MS Day is taking place on Saturday 30 May 2026, and as a global charity it is a key date in our calendar. Find out how to get involved, help us spread awareness of multiple sclerosis across the globe, and join us in sharing a message of hope: MS is a diagnosis, not a destiny.

This year’s theme for World MS Day is ‘My MS diagnosis: navigating MS together’.

You can read more about receiving an MS diagnosis here.

MS is a diagnosis, not a destiny

As part of this year’s World MS Day theme, we’re reflecting on what it means to receive an MS diagnosis, and how important it is that people are met with clear information, support and hope from the very beginning.

An MS diagnosis can feel overwhelming. Many people are left with fear, uncertainty and questions about the future. But diagnosis should not mean feeling powerless.

Through our MS: A diagnosis, not a destiny campaign, we’re challenging common myths about MS and helping more people understand the role that evidence-informed lifestyle choices can play alongside medical treatment, support and community.

You can support the campaign by sharing our myth-busting quiz and helping us spread a more hopeful message this World MS Day.

Other ways to get involved:

Create a poster and share it

You can use this easy poster maker on the World MS Day website to share your diagnosis story and spark conversations. All you need is a photo and it works on desktop or a phone.

Create your diagnosis poster

Share your poster on social media using the hashtags #MyMSDiagnosis and #WorldMSDay to join the global conversation, and don’t forget to tag or collaborate with us using @overcomingms! We’d love our feed to be full of amazing posters on the 30th May!

Share your story to help others

You can share your diagnosis story with us to help others in the community who are currently navigating this stage of their journey. Email us at [email protected] if you’d like to be involved.

Support within the community

We want to support you to talk about your diagnosis. It often helps to talk to others who have also received an MS diagnosis so that you don’t feel alone in your situation.

If you haven’t already you can join the Live Well Hub or an Overcoming MS Circle where you can ask the community questions, share stories and encourage each other. Find out more here.

If you want support to facilitate a discussion with your Circle about receiving an MS diagnosis, you can email us at [email protected].
